VOLUNTEER
Care Packages for Deployed Troops
Join us each month as we assemble 200+ care packages for deployed service members. This is a fun opportunity for young, old, and anyone in between to serve together for the benefit of our deployed service members. Families, co-workers, friends, and groups are welcome to attend.
When: 2nd Monday of each month 5:30-7:00 PM. Please see the calendar for links to sign up or contact us at youth4troops@gmail.com with questions.
Where: 3701 W Anthem Way in the Anthem Civic Building.

Plastic Mats for Homeless Veterans
Help make sleeping mats for homeless veterans. Individuals, families, and groups will help sort and cut plastic shopping bags that are then rolled into plarn balls. Talented volunteers will crochet the plarn balls into mats. No crochet knowledge is necessary to participate in this event. Open to all ages. Please see the calendar for links to sign up.

Appreciation Card Drive for Care Packages
Anyone anywhere can participate in our appreciation card events. If your group or organization desires to show appreciation, contact us about coordinating a card writing event. We can provide the cards or you can be creative with homemade cards. We will forward them in care packages for deployed service members and to veterans.

decorate boxes for care packages
We need help decorating over 200 boxes each month. If your group or organization wants to show appreciation, contact us about coordinating a box decorating event. We can provide information on how to order the USPS 1097 boxes for free and start decorating. Completed flat boxes can be shipped to us or dropped off in one of our donation boxes or at any event.

Freedom Isn’t Free Mobile Events
If your school, business, church, or organization would like to host a mobile event, please contact us. Events can be customized to fit your group size, ages, and budget. We can provide patriotic projects and a presentation that shares our mission and encourages community service.
